Plant Morphology: Medium sized plants with medium stretch and low-medium internodal spacing. Light foliage makes for great airflow and light penetration. Conical flowers gain most of their weight and color in the final two weeks of flower. Some degree of purple expected in 100%.

Notes from the Grower(s): Since the beginning of our journey into autoflowers, the end-game has been to eventually create autoflowering versions of our photoperiod catalogue, but to do so only when the right genetics came along; never forced. Unironically, the first strain we found happened to be a match for Dirty Bird’s first-ever strain, the Brunch.

The Sour Gorilla Auto is our own unreleased, in-house cross of HSC’s Sour Apple Auto by Fastbud’s Strawberry Gorilla Auto. When we first grew these seeds, we all agreed that it would make an uncanny match for the Brunch. Down to the fine details, the Sour Gorilla Auto resembled the Brunch genetics in so many ways: Plant morphology, flower structure, terpene profile, and color. Naturally, we crossed the two, and when we tested the seeds this Spring, we found our instincts to be spot on.

The Brunch (Fast) retains everything we love about the original Brunch, and in some ways, improves upon it while still retaining the classic Brunch look and feel. The Sour Gorilla effectively shortens the Brunch’s internodal spacing, and it adds girth to it’s flower structure, fattening up the buds at the center. The result is a strain that flowers in 50 days, stacks very well along the colas, and has beautiful, fat flowers with very little leaf. The terpene profile of the Brunch (Fast) remains apple dominant with a little bit of berry and skunk-funk coming through on some plants. The plants have a high calyx-to-leaf ratio, medium-high density, and they produce absolute top-quality bangers. Flowers are covered in glistening trichomes that are gritty to the touch at harvest, often indicative of a good hashmaker. 100% of the plants we tested put on the bulk of their weight and color in the final two weeks of flower. Try not to judge them too early because true to form for the Brunch, they really shine in the weeks leading up to harvest. 100% of plants also exhibited some purple coloring. Some plants finished a solid dark maroonish-purple, some finished more green with dark purple veins and speckling in the calyxes, and some finished a mix of the two with a gorgeous yellow, purple and amber fade.

This is only our first stop on the way to creating a Brunch auto, and I want to remind everyone that the Brunch (Fast) is a 100% photoperiod strain. You will only get photoperiods out of this lot of seeds because auto genetics are recessive.
