Rotten Guava is a limited-edition collaboration between G.O.A.T Genetics, Purple Caper Seeds, and Skunk Magazine, combining one of the most unique skunk selections from Purple Caper's legendary skunk preservation work with G.O.A.T Genetics' award-winning Guava N Chem Autoflower.
The mother plant is the infamous Alpha Skunk "Vomit" cut, selected by Frank from Purple Caper Seeds during his massive skunk hunt. Known for its overpowering roadkill skunk aroma and old-school funk, the Vomit cut represents a rare expression of the classic skunk genetics many growers have spent years searching for. It was crossed with Guava N Chem Autoflower from G.O.A.T Genetics, creating a vigorous Fast Photoperiod hybrid designed specifically for shorter outdoor seasons and northern climates.

What Is A Fast Photoperiod?

Fast photoperiods are the first step in creating a new autoflower line. They are produced by crossing a photoperiod plant with an autoflower, resulting in plants that still require a light cycle change to flower, but typically finish significantly earlier than traditional photoperiod varieties.

G.O.A.T Genetics has been one of the breeders helping normalize fast photoperiods for outdoor growers, proving that elite photoperiod genetics can successfully finish in regions where long-flowering cultivars often struggle. For Midwest growers, this means access to authentic skunk genetics that can finish before unfavorable fall weather arrives.

The autoflower version of Rotten Guava is already in development and will be released in future generations.

Growth Characteristics

Rotten Guava produces large, bushy plants with exceptional vigor and massive yields. The variety shows excellent pathogen resistance and is forgiving enough for growers of all experience levels.

Approximately 80% of the population closely resembles the Alpha Skunk Vomit mother, displaying dense flowers, vigorous branching, and the unmistakable skunk-dominant terpene profile. The remaining phenotypes lean toward the Guava N Chem side, producing extremely frosty flowers with a slightly more open structure and smaller bud formation.

Aroma & Flavor

The terpene profile is dominated by the legendary Vomit mother, delivering aggressive skunk funk that fills a room quickly. Behind the skunk lies a layer of sweet burnt rubber and subtle tropical guava notes inherited from the Guava N Chem parent.
Expect loud old-school skunk, sweet fuel, burnt rubber, and a lingering funky fruit finish.
