Notes: Starting with the original Afghani S1 which originated from a legacy cut we sourced at a farm in Humboldt County, we have been slowly working this variety to new height.  This plant has amazing vigor and will grow to be one of the widest and tallest in the gardens.  We hunted some winners in a huge field of V2, near poplar and maple trees (both known hosts to septoria spores), the two winners, #33 and #48 stayed healthy all season long. Across strains and cuts, the two selected Afghani V2’s were some of the healthiest plants in the field of nearly 1/4 of a million plants.
